Hill, Trenton Lamar - Columbus  
Trenton Lamar Hill June 25, 1994- June 26, 2015 Columbus, Georgia- Trenton Lamar Hill, 21, of Columbus, GA, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. Trent was born June 25, 1994 in Columbus, GA to his late father Lawrence Hill and his mother Patricia Young. He attended Northside High School and Columbus Technical College and was an Auto Technician with Advanced Auto. Trent was a member of the Car Club of Columbus, and loved to enhance high performance vehicles and American Muscle Cars, and some considered him to be a local racing legend at the age of 19. The family will receive guests for visitation Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm in The Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. A Celebration of Trenton's Life will be Monday, July 6, 2015 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, followed by a committal service at Parkhill Cemetery. Along with his father, Trent is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. He is survived by his Mother, Patricia Young of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Thurston (Bradja) Rivers, and Brian Hill, both of Columbus, GA; four sisters, Tiffany (Denton) Dozier of Dothan, AL, Karen Hill of Columbus, GA, Michelle Hill of Lovejoy, GA, and Carolyn Hill of Honolulu, HI; his paternal grandfather, AJ Hill, Sr. of Columbus, GA; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Hicks, James Herbert - Phenix City  
James Herbert Hicks February 10, 1938- June 28, 2015 Phenix City, Alabama- James H. Hicks of Phenix City, Alabama died Sunday, June 28, 2015. Mr. Hicks was born in Geneva County, Alabama to the lage Mr. Loui and Carni Williams Hicks. Jim was a great fan of Roll Tide Football and was a member of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association. He Served his country by joining the U.S. Airforce. After completing his Basic Training and Technical School he served in The South Pacific, Hawaii, Guam, M.I. and Japan. Upon discharge he traveled to Washington, D.C. and began working for the government. Upon returning to Columbus, Georgia he began working for the City of Columbus as an Auditor/ Deputy Marshall. When Consolidated he was appointed for a brief period of time as Budget Officer. Upon leaving the City he was employed by R.L. Polk as a Marketing Agent. After being purchased by Equifax he was promoted to Field Sales Manager opening a corporate office. However, due to health problems he was forced to retire. Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Bobbie Hicks, his dear companion having said she was truly the love of his life and the best thing to happen in his lifetime. A daughter Melanie Renea Boatner, a Step-Daughter Terri Goodwin of Smiths Station, Alabama, two sisters Barbara Davis of Las Vegas, NE, Brenda Gail Childs of Columbus, GA. A brother, Robert R. Hicks of Albany, GA, 2 Grandchildren, Ryan Goodwin of Salem, AL and Kristina Singletary of Salem, Al. and 3 Great Grandchildren. He is Preceded in death by his parents, Loui and Carni Williamson Hicks and a brother, Michael Ray Hicks. The Family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.m. and a Graveside service will be at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 1, 205 at 2:00 P.M. The Funeral Procession will leave Colonial Funeral at 1:30 P.M.

Mrs. Huff was born January 24, 1967 in Killeen, TX to Curtis Harris, Sr., Charlotte, NC and Marguerite Wilson, Columbus, GA. She was a 1985 graduate of Hardaway High School, received an accounting degree from Phillips College and was a member of Grant Chapel AME Church. Mae leaves to cherish her memories other than her parents her husband, James Huff, Columbus, GA; son, Corderal Harris, Columbus, GA; daughter, Cymone(James)McAllister, Columbus, GA; brothers, Curtis Harris, Albany, GA and Shawn Harris, Savannah, GA; sisters, Sandra Harris, Sabrina(Dwight)Wilborn and Serina Harris; granddaughter, Hazel Harris, Columbus, GA; devoted friend, Chester Harper; several other relatives and dear friends.
