Jeniece H. Bandy April 11, 1989- July 25, 2015 Smiths, AL- Funeral service for Ms. Jeniece Bandy, 26, of Smiths, AL will be held at 11:00 am (CST) Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Opelika with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Johnson will officiate. Ms. Bandy passed Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. She was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church. In 2007, she graduated from Opelika High School. She was presently employed with Georgia Mentor Health Care. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home this evening at 5:00 pm (cst). Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: a daughter, J'Naye Shipman of Smiths; her parents, John and Janet Bandy of Smiths; her paternal grandparents, W.B. and Dorothy Bandy of Opelika; four uncles, George Bandy and Melvin (Minnie) Bandy both of Opelika, Daniel Jones and Ronnie (Stephanie) Jones both of Smiths; two aunts, Lorraine Jones of Smiths and Jennifer Jones of Raleigh, NC; several cousins, other relatives and friends. Bellamy, Denzell D. - Columbus  
Denzell D. Bellamy September 26, 1990- July 27, 2015 Columbus, GA- Mr. Denzell Dontae' Bellamy, affectionately known as "Rattman" of Columbus, passed away Monday at his home. He was 24 years of age and resided at 6127 Crossbow Drive. The son of Ivary Robinson Tanniehill (Randy) of Columbus and Darrin Bellamy, Sr. (Bernadette), Denzell was a Columbus native and received his primary education in Muscogee County Schools. He attended Fort Middle School where he was a star basketball player and had considered himself a "MVP". He was 2009 graduate of Shaw High School and obtained a Business degree from Columbus Technical College. He was employed with Green Island Country Club for over 5 years. Denzell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmie and Anna Robinson, Jr., and Rosa Lee Bellamy. Survivors other than his parents, include: three brothers, Darrin Bellamy, Jr., Dezmon Bellamy (Jennifer) and Detrick Bellamy; his grandfather, Mr. A. C. Bellamy, Jr.; two aunts, Donna Smith (Louis) and Sorina Clark (Lionel); three uncles, Edwin Kelly, Jimmy Robinson, Jr. (Chavala) and Patrick Bellamy; a fiance', Ashley King; loving nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Bellamy was held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 12 noon at Spirit Filled Ministries with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Mrs. Blackledge was born November 22, 1922 in Ingolstadt, Germany daughter of the late Georg and Walberger Birzl Franz. She was a homemaker. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston W. "Blackie" Blackledge. Survivors include her daughters, Caroline B. "Carol" Griffis (Bill) of Columbus, GA, Robert W. Blackledge (Susan) of Malabar, FL and Wynell King of Columbus, GA, sister, Charlotte Schreiner of Inglostadt, Germany, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Bourage, Brandon I. - Ft. Mitchell  
Brandon I. Bourage September 26, 1996- July 25, 2015 Ft. Mitchell, AL- Mr. Brandon Ivory Bourage of #6 Riverside Drive, Ft. Mitchell, AL passed away Saturday at Children Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital. He was 18 years old. The beloved son of SGM (Ret.) Ivory L. and Mrs. Kathy Davis Bourage of Ft. Mitchell, Brandon was born in Fairfax County, VA and was a 2014 graduate of Chattahoochee County High School where he played football, basketball, ran track and was a stats keeper, and was also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. Brandon had been accepted to Troy State University for 2015 Fall year. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and was recipient of the Make A Wish Foundation. He was granted the opportunity to meet the entire Steelers team. Other than his parents, Brandon will be missed by his sister, Kameesia Bourage Caudle (Daryn); his grandmother, Mrs. Delcia Davis; a host of loving aunt and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. The Homegoing Celebration for Brandon will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cathedral of Prayer where Drs'. Charles and Gloria Rodgers are pastors. Rev. Gary E. Johnson, Sr. officiating. Interment will be Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday at 3:00 p.m. with Family Hour from 6 til 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from the residence at 10:00 a.m. the morning of the celebration. Bowick Jr., William L. "Bill" - Columbus  
William "Bill" L. Bowick, Jr. October 9, 1923- July 30, 2015 Columbus, GA- Mr. William L. Bowick, Jr. passed away on July 30th, 2015. Mr. Bowick was born on October 9th, 1923 in Albany, GA, the son of the late William L. Bowick, Sr. and Blanchard Harris Cook Bowick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church 2000 Kay Circle Columbus, GA 31907 with Father J. Gerard Schreck officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. A Rosary led by Father Jacob Almeter will be said Sunday evening at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Mr. Bowick's grandsons will act as pallbearers. He was a veteran of World War II, receiving 5 battle stars in the European Theater of Operations, including the beach operations and the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he attended the University of Georgia Henry W. Grady School of Journalism. He was head cheerleader in 1946 and 1947 and was also a member of Gridiron Society and Sigma Delta Chi Journalism Fraternity. In February, 1955, after graduating from UGA, he moved to Columbus and began his career in radio and television. He hosted the number one morning show, Coffee With Bill, along with his sidekick, Philup Space. He served as Vice President of WRBL radio and was Program Director for WGBA, WVOC and WRBL. He received numerous awards for his broadcast productions, including the prestigious Silver Medal Award from the Advertising Club of Columbus and the "You Are Columbus, Georgia" award. He was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame in 2008 for his outstanding contributions to the radio industry. He was involved in many area telethons and received a humanitarian award. Mr. Bowick was an active charter member of St. Anne Catholic Church and is survived by his wife, Catherine "Cassie" Rakel Bowick, of 67 years and six children: Rebecca B. Stewart (Bob), Ellerslie, GA, Mary B. Rose, Lawrenceville, GA, William (Bill) L. Bowick, III, Christopher J. Bowick (Maureen), Bernadette B. Coker (Don), and Joy B. Wells (Greg), all of Columbus; 12 grandchildren: Robert J. Stewart, Lawrenceville, GA, Gregory M. Stewart (Carole), Lumpkin, GA; Zoe B. Levine (Ben), Brooklyn, NY, David W. Bowick (Mia), Los Angeles, CA, Zachary C. Coker (Cheryl), Midland, TX, Catherine M. Rose, Lawrenceville, GA, M. Taylor Rose, Austin, TX, William P. Wells, Athens, GA and J. Alexander Coker, Lindsay C. Anderson (Brian), Courtney S. Sheats (Rome) and Shelby C. Wells, all of Columbus; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Stephen Matthew Bramlett April 19, 1984- July 28, 2015 Columbus, GA- Stephen Matthew Bramlett, 31, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby with Lonnie Lawson officiating. Interment at Parkhill Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in the Mill Room. Stephen, son of Randall Dewayne Bramlett and Patricia Ann Bodie, was born April 19, 1984 in Columbus, GA. He was a member and deacon of Community Church of God in Christ in Brundidge, AL. Stephen loved spending time with his family and watching sports, especially the Atlanta Braves. He liked to sing and dance, and enjoyed listening to Gospel music. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Ann Bodie; father Randall Bramlett (Claudine); brothers, Duane Bodie (Kristy) and Randall James Bramlett; sister Stephanie Bramlett; maternal grandparents David Bodie (Irene) and Myrtice Bodie; second mom, Glenda Jolly and Mary Neal; second dad, Dr. Wiley C. Neal and Kurstyn, Nahtyka and Khynadi; other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Deepali Agarwal and nurse Sebrina Stafford.
