Billy Hilton Thompson September 13, 1917- December 12, 2014 Columbus, GA- Billy Hilton Thompson, 97, of Columbus, Georgia died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler - Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson was born September 13, 1917 in Chipley, Georgia. Son of the late Grover Clyde Thompson and the late Mollie Mae Huff Thompson. He had lived in Columbus most of his life and retired from Lummus as an Executive Consultant. With Lummus, Mr. Thompson traveled the world. Mr. Thompson was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where he was very active and involved as a Sunday School teacher for seventy two years for the Good News Bible Class, enjoyed singing with the choir, member of Methodist Men of Muscogee, a member of Lay Missions and was a Lay Speaker. He founded the college scholarship committee at St. Mark. Mr. Thompson was a member of Coweta Chapter of The Sons of The American Revolution where he was a past chapter president and a state Board of Managers representative , Chairman of The State Americanism Committee and its annual award was named in honor of Mr. Thompson. He was a 1935 graduate of Industrial High School and enjoyed wood working, bowling, feeding wildlife, and gospel music. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Yarbrough Thompson, a daughter, Jean Thompson Dean, and a sister, Mary Thompson Gilson. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Taft Thompson; a son, Billy Hilton Thompson, II and his wife, Rebecca of Cary, N.C.; a daughter, Susan Thompson Barnes and her husband, Ronnie of Columbus; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Mrs. Thompson's children are a son, Thomas Barfield and his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Ellen Rebecca Dewald. Mr. Thompson affected many people with his love of the Lord, his wisdom, his patience and his kindness. He loved his family. He will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Columbus Hospice, the College Scholarship Fund at St. Mark United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.

Randee Joy Todd March 22, 1955- December 11, 2014 Salem, AL- Randee Joy Todd, 59 of Salem, Alabama died Thursday December 11, 2014 in Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday December 19, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Todd was born March 22, 1955 in Denham Springs, Louisiana; daughter of the late Wayne Bell and Joy McNeese Bell of Phenix City, AL. She was a homemaker. Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband and best friend of 26 years, Ronald Todd of Salem, AL, son, Bradley Williams (Tonya) of Midland, GA, sister, Deborah L. Tomblin, Luellen Allen - Columbus  
Luellen Allen Tomblin March 1, 1943- December 7, 2014 Columbus, GA- Luellen Allen Tomblin, 71, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Marysville, Tennessee. A lifelong resident of Columbus, she was born on March 1, 1943, the daughter of the late Sarah Lee Agnes Hilliard Allen and Hugh Asa Allen. She attended Baker High School in Columbus, GA and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in its early days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Carol Aleen Allen, Barbara Allen Van Natter, and Vivian Allen Adams; and her brothers Hugh Hilliard Allen, Herbert Edsel Allen, and James "Jimmy" Elton Allen. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Tomblin Adams (Sonny) of Columbus, GA, Molly Tomblin Suttles (Joe) of Marysville, TN, and her son David Neal Tomblin (Kristy) of Waverly Hall, GA, along with two granddaughters Ashley Tomblin Lankford (Roger) of Athens, GA, and Chelsey Tomblin of LaGrange, GA, and one grandson, Matthew Todd Massengale of Marysville, TN, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Marianne Allen Pierce (Bob), Sara Allen Joiner, and Kaye Allen Kyle; and her brother, Paul Allen (Kathy), along with numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service for family is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, Columbus Hospice, or to a local charity of your choice.
