During the 1980´s, my husband and our family were stationed at Ft. Bennington. During that time, I worked Labor&Delivery at The Medical Center and was privileged to work with Dr. Jarrell. He was an amazing physician and epitomized Southern charm and gentility. Just having a moment reminiscing about those years and the precious memories. I feel so blessed to have known Dr. Jarrell. Blessings to his family...he left quite a legacy.

To the entire Jarrell family and extended family, we offer our sincere condolences. Dr. Harold was indeed a fine man and excellent physician. He was greatly admired by our family. It is a sweet thing to know that he has an eternity of joy and blessings now because of his faith in Christ.

He was a man guided by the hand of God to bring in so many lives to this world, my son was one of the many, and in now we must rejoice in knowing he is with our creator and king walking the streets of gold! Thank you for sharing all your gifts with the many physicians that walked in your path. Like St. Luke in the Bible, Harold Jarrell was a dear and glorious physician. He had a special love for my late beloved wife Lois, and she for him. My respect and admiration for the entire Jarrell family was epitomized in him. To call him friend in sunshine and in shadow was as natural as breath. "Until we gather in heaven's bright city, far away on that beautiful shore" we will remember this uncommon man, his life and service, his devotion to his fellow man, with unbounded appreciation.

My Condolences to the family of Dr Jarrell. I think My brother was probably one of Dr Jarrell's first deliverys. My mother thought so much of him she named my brother after him. God gave him a long life and I am sure God said enter in my faithful servent. My prayers to family and friends, He will be missed.

I had the honor of working with Dr. Jarrell after nursing school when I came to work in L&D at The Medical Center. He was a patient teacher and a fine man. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Dr. Jarrell holds a very special place in my heart! He delivered me in 1958 and in 1989 delivered my baby girl, Alissa! I will never forget the wonderful man who always called me "Sugar"! What a blessing he was to my family and to this community!

Dear Corrine and extended Jarrell Family,
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how sorry I am that
you have lost such a treasured part of your family.
I have known Dr Jarrell since 1971, when he became my "Baby"
doctor , as they were called back in the day.
He always reassured me with his soft spoken voice and big smile.
He was able to help me deliver a healthy baby boy, James Keith
Carpenter who is now married to Jennifer Payne Jarrell.
Little did we know that we would someday be family.
I am so glad that you have such a large, loving family who will help
you through the difficult days ahead.

There are no words to expresss the love that we had for Dr. Harold.
He treated me from 1970 , delivered out last Child, Jennifer Lynn Ware, Sunday Sept. 1, l968. His wife was so precious to share him with us for that speciaal Sunday, and many years ago, I wrote his wife and told her just that with all the others special things about him and his family. I loved when he walked into the room with that special smile, he always had for everyone. He treated me annually until he had to retire and I have prayed to God that he was such a blessing sent into our live. He told me life begans at forty, and he was experiencing it.. Our love is deeper than we can express. He helped so many, many people. All my friends saw Dr. Harold Jarrell for their annuals and looked so forward to it. I have never felt the comfort that he gave me from any other Dr, He was the greatest and We loved him so, He had to have a wonderful wife and family to be the man he was for all of us. Any woman who was a patient of Dr. Jarrell is heartbroken to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful doctor and loved by all of his patients. I have wonderful memories in my heart and especially because of him, I was able to finally have a child after years and months of tears. My son is 38 years old now and I will continue to thank Dr. Jarrell for his kindness and concern. I know God has accepted this wonderful, kind and caring true Christian gentleman into his arms. Dr. Jarrell certainly added and gave to the community and surrounding areas in the medical field and personally. His caring bedside manner to his patients were an added bonus! My heart breaks for Dr. Jarrell's family, but just know he is in Heaven and is no longer in any pain. He was my doctor when I was trying to get pregnant many years ago. Against all the odds and due to his knowledge and diligence I was able to conceive and give birth to my son who is now 31 years old. God gave him the gifts he posessed and he used them to the fullest. I thank God for giving us such a fine doctor. I pray that God will give each member of his family and his friends peace in the days to come. RIP Dr. Jarrell.

I was saddened to read of Dr. Jarrell's passing. I've never known a more caring, understanding, polite, soft spoken and knowledgeable doctor as he. It was a pleasure to have him as my ob/gyn doctor through three pregnancies and afterwards until his retirement. He was loved by all who knew him. He was truly a Christian Southern gentleman!

I first met Dr. Jarrell when he was my mother's doctor and he delivered my brother. I was so fortunate to have him as my doctor years later. He was one of the most caring physicans I have ever had. My mother and I have always used him as the benchmark by which we measured our doctors.

A bright light in the world has gone out. Dr. Jarrell made you feel like you were the only patient he had. He delivered my son and was my doctor until he retired. I never heard one negative word about him, and I know many dozen women who were his patients. Words can never express how much our community loved him. He will be missed greatly. If there was ever a person who deserves to be in heaven, it is Dr. Jarrell. May God wrap his arms around each member of his family in the coming days. RIP

My mind goes all the way back to 1939 when my Dad, Rev. Forest Gilbert, was pastor to the Jarrell Family. I remember the wonderful good times of friendship, food and having fun on the farm. Precious memories linger! Sorry that I am ill and cannot attend the service for my good friend. Harold was indeed a wonderful Christian man. To the Jarrell family, I am convinced that my Mother, Marilyn Louise Rayburn, loved two men in her life. One was my father of course and her husband for 52 years. The second was Dr. Harold Jarrell. She was employed by him, was a long-time patient of his, and made sure that he delivered her youngest daughter and all but one of her grandchildren. She and my Father called him "friend" for many years and trusted his medical expertise completely. I know that I would not be the nurse I am today without the mentoring, traning, and professional leadership he gave me. We have all lost a wonderful man here on earth but I know my Mother is walking with him down streets of gold!

I just finished reading about Uncle Harold's life,work and family. We are so glad we were able to know and love him as much as we did. I can give the credit to Clint for finding a little North GA girl to marry into this loving family. Uncle Harold was special to us and my mama. I hope they will be able to see each other in Heaven. To everybody in Dr. Jarrell's family, I hope you understand what he meant to his patients. He was my doctor from the time I was 15 or 16 until he retired. I will be 58 this year. He delivered my baby, and he would listen to me about anything I had on my mind. I haven't seen him in several years, but in all the time since he retired, he still felt like a family member to me. You probably can not imagine the impact he had on my life. Or maybe you can. I am grieving today, and my prayers are with his family. God bless you.

My wife - Amy - loved Dr. Jarrell as a patient and as a friend. The entire Jarrell family are dear to both of our hearts. Dr. Floyd was my eye doctor and friend. Dr. Harold was a wonderful physician and friend. About 45 years ago, he did surgery so that I could get pregnant and then after 5 pregnancies he had to do surgery to stop the pregnancies. My husband, Joe, moved some buildings out to the farm in the mid 1960s. A truly wonderful, Christian man.

Dr. Harold was a good friend and adviser to Janice and I in our search for the history of Taylor County Georgia. He was a strong supporter of the Taylor County Historical-Genealogical Society.

What a great loss for our community. A great doctor and friend for the last forty years. The man that delivers your babies is about as close a friend and advocate that a woman ever has and Dr Jarrell really was those things. I remember giving him an exploding outhouse for Christmas one year and he kept setting it off and bringing it back into the examining room where I was trying to retain my modesty while resetting it for him. He was a real character and I will miss him dearly. My mother, Emma Watson, thought he was the absolute best and she was right. To the entire Jarrell family, please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of a legend.
