Columbus, Georgia- Mr. Ralph D. Robinson, 83, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Greater Ward Chapel AME Church. Rev. Conitras Houston-Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today from noon until 5 pm, followed by an Omega Ceremony from 5 until 6 pm, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus, GA.
Mr. Robinson was born March 15, 1931 in Lumpkin, GA, the son of Henry Robinson and Minnie Armour. He was a graduate of Albany State University and received his Masters Degree from Georgia State University. He retired as a Guidance Counselor from Arnold Middle School. Mr. Robinson also retired from JMAX as a car salesman. He was a member of the Greater Ward Chapel AME Church where he served as a Stewart and a member of the Usher Board. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Lion's Club and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, INC. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Oneida Robinson, his son, Ralph G. (Sandra) Robinson, daughters, Daphne Robinson and JoDonna Robinson, a brother, DuPont Robinson, a sister, Mary Alice Hardy, and other loving relatives and friends.
