Columbus, GA- Sheila Ann Wilcox Delk, 69 of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the home of her daughter after an over two year battle with cancer, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL.
Ms. Delk was born February 6, 1944 in Temple, Texas, daughter of Thomas and Wanda Bell Funderburk. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School, CVCC and Troy State University. She was a member of Cascade Hills Church for 15 years and retired from the Georgia Department of Labor. Sheila was a woman of great faith in God and devoted to her family.
Survivors include her three children, Cynthia Swensen Hurston and husband Greg of Phenix City, AL, Steve Swensen of Phenix City, AL, Dale Aldridge of Corydon, IN, four grandsons, Scott, Frank and Sam Hurston and Robbie Swensen, two granddaughters, Mary Hurston and Jessica Swensen, five sisters, Jennifer Paulson, Paula Olivier, Beverly Menier, Christine Leblanc and Debbie Brugoto.
She requested no funeral services as she wanted to encourage people to show care and love to those around you while they are still on this earth to enjoy it.
