Columbus, Georgia- Mr. Jason Lamont Boykin, 32, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. James A.M.E. Church with Rev. Joseph Baker, Pastor. Rev. Adrain Chester, Officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 12 noon until 6 P.M., according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus, Georgia.
Mr. Boykin was born February 21, 1985 in Columbus, GA. He was the son of the late Lonnie Boykin and Gladys Johnson Boykin. Jason was a 2003 graduate of George W. Carver High School where he was a star football player, basketball player and a member of the track team. He attended Coffeyville Community College.
Survivors other than his mother include two daughters, J'adore Boykin and Tre'sor Boykin; one son, Michael Seldon; one brother, A. C. Douglas; one sister, Sandra Mack; the mother of his children, Jessica Seldon and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

My hart felt sorrow goes out to the Mother and the rest of the family of this Young man. I watch him in his high school days at Carver, while on the football team great player and person. He and my son came out of school the same year. God bless the family.
