Ft. Mitchell, AL- Mr. Leroy Harmon, Sr., 76, of 88 Bradley Road, Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Ft. Mitchell, AL.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at St. John A.M.E. Church, Ft. Mitchell, AL with Rev. Maurice Wright, pastor and Rev. Willie Thomas, eulogist. Interment will follow in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Monday, January 11, 2016 from 12 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Harmon was born March 2, 1939 in Ft. Mitchell, AL to the late Patrick Harmon, Sr. and the late Tillie Morris Miles. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and had been employed with Bickerstaff Products.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Harmon of Ft. Mitchell, AL; five children, Earlene (Larry) Harris of Columbus, GA; Jeffrey Harmon of Atlanta, GA; Delphine (Timmy) Smith, Patricia (Calvin) Siders both of Ft. Mitchell, AL; Darrell Harmon of Pine Mountain, GA; fourteen siblings, Jessie (Helen) Crawford, Bobbie Miles, Jimmy (Pamela) Miles, Dollie (Robert) Miles, Rosie (Elroy) Thomas and Emma (Willie) Thomas all of Ft. Mitchell, AL; Jerry Miles, Annie (Daniel) Shorter and Bonnie Curry all of Phenix City, AL; Rosa Jackson of Columbus, GA; Larry Harmon, Nathaniel Harmon, Patrick (Shelia) Harmon all of Atlanta, GA; Geraldine Gillard of Columbus, GA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
