Columbus, GA- De'Ferion D. Gray of Columbus passed away Thursday at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in Atlanta. He was 20 years old and resided at 4426 Tracy Street.
Born in Columbus, GA on August 19, 1992, De'Ferion was the son of Donna Gray (Jeffrey) and Bradley D. Hill, Jr. (Katrina) of Columbus. He was a 2012 Carver High School graduate who played football (jersey #15) and ran with track team. He received the Spirit of Courage Award in 2012 from Chic fil A. He was attending Columbus Technical School. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Reverend Bernice Hall; and an uncle, Johnny Gray
Survivors, other than his parents, include: three brothers, Vamontae Gray, Joshua Moore and Bradley Hill III ; one sister, Chelsea Hill; his grandparents, Beverly Gray ,Randy Gray, Pastors Albert and Melissa Suggs, Bradley Hill, Sr. and Deacon Willie and Mrs. Patricia Butler; loving aunts and uncles: April Gray, Renee (John) Gray-Anderson, Shameka Hill, DeShawn Suggs, Jermaine Suggs, Brian Butler and Patrick Butler; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for De'Ferion will be Saturday, 1:00 pm at the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James A. Allen officiating. Pastor Albert Suggs will officiate.The interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday, 2 til 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. "A Touch of Dignity for those Who Care."
