Columbus, GA- Mrs. Hattie Bell Cunningham of Columbus passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Columbus Regional Medical Center. She was 87 years of age and resided at 5240 St. Mary's Road.
Born in Georgetown, GA on January 3, 1926, Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Willie Patterson Nunnally. She served as a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death in 1981 by her husband Lewis Cunningham.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her loving and truly devoted daughters, Lois Cunningham and Ethel King; nephews, Claude (Ronette) Harris, Clarence, Solomon, Jessie Williams, Ronald Kennedy (Beverly) and a niece, Myrtis Johnson; and a host of cousins and friends including, faithful caregivers, Dianne Hamilton, Tabitha Johnson, Shirilyn Swain, and Mary Ann Young.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Cunningham will be Saturday, 12 noon at the Macedonia Baptist Church where Rev. Jesse Reese is pastor. The interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Thomas will officiate. The cortege will depart from the residence at 11:30 am the day of the service. Arrangement entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc.
