Salem, AL- Mrs. Margot Hoffmann LeRoy, "Granny", 78 , of Salem, AL passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. LeRoy was born January 9, 1936 in Mannheim, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Willie Hoffmann and Paula Seitz Hoffmann. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and devoted all of her time to their happiness. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John E. LeRoy, just last month and sister, Crystal Jackson.
She is survived by two daughters, Jutta Riddle and husband George "Buddy" of LaGrange, GA and Tonie LeRoy of Salem AL; one sister, Martina Brenner of Mannheim, Germany; 2 grandchildren, Kristie Mashburn and husband Clyde and Misty Dunn and husband Dusty; 3 great-grandchildren, Ashlie Mashburn, Kaycie Mashburn and Tyler Baker; and numerous caring friends.
A private memorial will be held by the family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jane Galloway, RN along with the entire Columbus Hospice staff and ask that donations be made directly to Columbus Hospice in memory of Margot LeRoy.
