Columbus, GA- Retired SFC Ralph Joseph Engeldinger, 90, Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully November 3, 2013. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Saint Anne Catholic Church, beginning at 12:00 P.M. EST, with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating, committal service, with full military honors will follow, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends and a rosary will be held, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home.
Ralph Joseph Engeldinger, was born June 8, 1923, in Rock Elm, WI, son of the late Theodore Engeldinger and Clara Horn Engeldinger. Retired SFC Ralph Joseph Engeldinger served his country proudly in the United States Army. Ralph was a dedicated member to many organizations, The Knights of Columbus, DAV, VFW, Fort Benning Retiree Counsel, Fort Mitchell Cemetery Council, American Legion, R.S.V.P., and NCOA.
Ralph was married to the love of his life Isabel Ann Engeldinger for 67 years. They were members of The Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Other than his parents Ralph is preceded in death by son, Larry Engeldinger, a brother, Nicholas Engeldinger.
Survivors include Jeanne Fuller and husband, Stephen of Florence, OR; three grandchildren, Michelle Dahlin and husband, Kurt, of Castaic, CA, Tiffany Dorman and husband, Chris of Coatesville, PA, Brian Fuller and wife Tami, of Lake Oswego, OR; Ralph also leaves behind five great- grandchildren, and many loving extended family members and caring friends.
