Phenix City, AL- Glenda Maxine Wooten Thomason, 71, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Reverend M.R. Hamilton officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery and the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomason was born on September 8, 1942, in Phenix City, AL, the daughter of the late Carl Wooten and Katie Free Wooten. She was employed with Civil Services in Ft. Benning and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis S. Thomason of Phenix City, AL; daughter, Kandace Thomason Plinske, husband Larry of Smiths Station, AL; brother, Leon Wooten of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Cameron Herring, Cody Plinske and Michaela Plinske; niece, Holli Lahr; nephew, Mark Wooten; extended family and many caring friends.
Donations may be made to Columbus Hospice in Mrs. Thomason's honor.
