Columbus, Georgia- Mrs. Emma Laura Ware, 85, of 335 30th Ave. Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Saturday, (TODAY) February 22, 2014 at Sconiers Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Raymond Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Ware was born May 28, 1928 in Richland, GA, the daughter of Claude Williams and Mary Dawson. She was a member of the Franchise Baptist Church and retired from Muscogee Manor Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Ware, a sister, Myrtle Thomas, and a grandson, Jeffrey B. Ware.
Devoted survivors include, four sons, Marion (Wanda) Ware, Stan (Sally) Ware, Larry (Sandra) Ware, and Nathaniel Ware, three daughters, Patsy Ware, Connie Weaver, and Ruedell Montgomery, three sisters, Susie Williams, Viola Williams, and Willie Claude Jackson, a nephew, James Hall, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a devoted care-giver, Claudia Oxford, and other relatives and friends.
