Columbus, GA- Ms. Dededra M. Washington, 49, of Columbus passed Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center.
The daughter of Mr. Ross Daniel and the late Mrs. Rutha Weary Smith, Ms. Washington was born in New Orleans, LA on July 14, 1964. A 1982 graduate of the John F. Kennedy Senior High School in New Orleans, and had obtained her Associates degree from Columbus Technical College. She was a medical assistant in Dr. Karen Stuart's office for over 20 years, and a member of the Body in Christ Church International. She served as a foster parent for many years in Muscogee County. Her kind spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her children, Tiffany A. Washington and Troy Washington; her father, Mr. Ross Daniel (Wilma); two brothers, Troy Easterling and Shawn Smith; a sister, Nicole Daniel; the father of her children, Alvin Washington; other relatives and friends.
The Memorial Celebration for Ms. Dededra M. Washington will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Progressive Chapel with Bishop Gregory Blue officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 the day of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc.
