Columbus, GA- Anne Mitcham Armour Mosley, 95, of Columbus, GA passed away on May 3, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate Anne's life at a Visitation on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary in Edgewood Hall, officiated by Reverend Robert Beckum. An Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Anne was a long time resident of Spring Harbor Independent Living. She was the daughter of Flournoy Wooldridge Armour and Onyce Len Mitcham Armour. Anne attended Wynnton and St Elmo Schools and later was a graduate of Columbus High School. She attended G.S.C.U Women's College and later graduated from Auburn University. Anne taught in the Muscogee County School district until her retirement. She enjoyed a long time membership in the Columbus Country Club and especially her membership in the Ladies Golf Association there. Anne was a member of the Azalea Garden Club, a lifetime member of the Wynn House and was a member of the Columbus Historical Association. She enjoyed watercolor painting and traveling quite a bit of the world with her husband and friends. She and her dear friends loved getting together regularly for many years for fellowship in what they called her "Lunch Bunch". Anne was a member of St Luke Church. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Anne Lynn Mosley Raymond and William Hoyt Raymond III of Columbus, GA, and her son, Lawrence Flournoy Mosley of Columbus, GA, her grandchildren, William Hoyt Raymond IV and his partner Rob Judkins of Austin TX, Laurel Anne Raymond Peebles and her husband John Tucker Peebles of Columbus, GA, and Meridith Mosley Hemmings and her husband Lance Hemmings of Columbus, GA, as well as her great grandchildren Laurel Lynn Peebles of Columbus GA, Raymond Tucker Peebles of Columbus, GA, Hunter Hemmings of Columbus, GA and Tanner Hemmings of Columbus, GA. Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by her parents Flournoy Wooldridge Armour and Onyce Mitcham Armour, her husband James Lawrence Mosley Jr., her grandson Matthew Mosley, her daughter in law Sandra Satterfield Mosley and her three sisters, Dorothy Armour Cohen, Jean Armour Winner, and Elizabeth Armour Jones. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful sitters who cared for Mrs. Mosley; Desandra Jones, Natasha Williams, Pauline Senior, Shellena Dixon, Tanya Garcia, Rosa Garcia, Lisa Lewis, Carly Williams, as well as all of the angels at Columbus Hospice House. The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to Columbus Hospice House.
