Phenix City, AL- Evelyn Condrey Collins, 84 of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully late Saturday evening on May 3, 2014 ay Phenix City Health Care in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EDT Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collins was born January 24, 1930 in Dale County, AL to the late Hughie Condrey and Willie Ethel Heath Condrey. She had work for many years for Tom's Foods and was a Pentecostal by faith. She enjoyed working with her fruit trees and in her flower garden and loved spending family time. Other than her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Thomas Collins and a brother, James Condrey.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Everritt and husband Ken of Blecker, AL and Shelia Allegood and husband Wendell of Moultrie, GA. Four grandchildren, Clint Everritt (Polly Ann), Christie Holt (Michael), Ryan Allegood and Jessica Allegood and one special great grandchild, Carter Thomas Everritt and one on the way, numerous other loving family members and many friends.
