Salem, AL- David "D" Mario McDonald, 48, of Salem, AL, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm EST, on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Vance Memorial Chapel with Dr. Reverend Wayne Scarborough and Reverend Bud Passmore officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service, at the funeral home.
Mr. McDonald was born on November 3, 1965, in Hirschberg, Germany, the son of Peggy Sue Womack McDonald and the late David Wayne McDonald. He attended Auburn University and worked in marketing and sales. He was a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dogs, and witnessing. He was a fan of the Auburn Tigers and loved to play the guitar and piano.
Other than his mother he is survived by his daughter, Carsen McDonald; the mother of his daughter, Tami McDonald; sister, Sabrina McDonald Shine; Niece Scarlett Shine, Aunts, Jan Tarkington, Brenda Lawless, husband Fred, and Pamela and Otis Weaver, and much extended family and many caring friends.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Auburn Heights Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL or Concord Baptist Church in Salem, AL.
