Phenix City, AL- Aubrey Lee Cochran, Sr. 76 of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday June 4, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Striffler-Hamby's Lakewood Hall with burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Cochran was born August 7, 1937 in Chambers County, Alabama. He is the son of the late Walter Joe Cochran Sr. and Lorraine Moncus Hammock. He was retired from Fleming Foods after 27 years of service and attended Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church in Phenix City, AL. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cherry Mancil, brother, Johnny Cochran and grandson, Daniel Cochran.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Lee Goss Cochran of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Daphne Cochran Reardon and husband Todd of Phenix City, AL, sons, Aubrey L. Cochran, Jr and wife Julie of New Hill, NC, Boyd Taff Cochran and wife Phyllis, and Darrell Jason Cochran all of Phenix City, AL, brothers, Joe Cochran, Norman Cochran, sisters, Connie Lepper, Diane McKinney, Trudy Bates, step-mother, Jennelle Cochran and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
