Detroit, MI- Mr. King Kaiser Lewis, 66, of Detroit, MI, formerly of Motts, AL (Lee County, AL) passed Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Detroit, MI.
Funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church, Detroit, MI. Interment will be held 12 noon EST, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Salem, AL. Visitation is today from 9 - 11 a.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Lewis was born March 24, 1948 in Salem, AL to the late Katie Lewis and the late Andrew Lewis. He was reared and influenced by his sister, Maggie and her husband, R.T. Roberson. He was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, a graduate of Wacoochee High School and had been employed with Bibb Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lewis of Detroit, MI; three children, Felecia West of Phenix City, AL; Kapathia Lewis of Detroit, MI and King Lewis, Jr. of Detroit, MI; one nephew, Donald (Carolyn) Robinson of Smiths Station, AL; two nieces, Dorothy Ashford of Smiths Station, AL and Minnie Arnold of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
