Phenix City, AL- James Calvin Wade, 85 of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Wade was born February 28, 1929 in Pittsview, AL to the late Homer R. Wade and Lucille Brown Wade. He was retired from Golden's Foundry in Columbus, GA with 30 years of service and was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lovie R. Grimes Wade, son, James Terry Wade, (6) sisters, Frances Sears, Doris Densel, Mary Alice Lewis, Beatrice Corley, Shirley Wade and Jean Faulkner, (2) brothers, Wardell Wade and Albert C. Wade.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Friday, June 20, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Dr. Ray Cummings officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Long, and two sons, Jerry "Cookie" Wade and wife Faye, and Garry Michael Wade, all of Phenix City, AL.
(8) Grandchildren, (8) great grandchildren, dear friend, Paige Keeter, God-son, C. J. Keeter, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
