White Plains, NY- Chris passed away at home, July 2, 2014 in White Plains NewYork. The ceremony will be held Thursday July 10, 2014, at 11:00 am EST, at the Bethany Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the Vance Memorial Chapel Phenix City, AL. Chris was born November 18,1963 in Columbus Georgia. Son of the late Thomas Watson Cain Jr and Betty Faye Cain. As a native of Phenix City, Alabama, Chris is also an accomplished pianist. His formal education is from Manhattan School of Music where he attended on Vocal Scholarship, with additional studies in Vienna, Austria. Chris has called New York City his home for many years and has an extensive teaching studio of signed recording artists.
Christopher began his professional singing career performing in musical operetta. He has been highly acclaimed across the United States in shows random order Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus), The Secret Garden (Archibald) and Phantom (Francis), in more classical shows such as Guy and Dolls (Sky Masterson), Wheres Charollet, My Fair Lady (Freddy) and Cinderella (Prince Charming). His operetta included The Student Prince (Prince Karl Franz), The Great Waltz (Schani) and The Pirates of Penzance (Frederick) among others.
Among his projects, Christopher helped form a new opera duo, which an enormous amount of industry buzz. This innovative operatic duo combines genres from Grand Opera Rock and Pop and includes the spectacular baritone Adelmo Guidarelli. Chris was a regular on the local television show (At Home with Rozzelle)
Chris left behind his Partner of 2 years Steve Saunders, Step-children Steven, Nicholas, Amanda, Late Father Tommy Cain Jr, Mother Betty Faye, Brother Tommy Cain (Diana) children Candace, Coley, Brother Phil Cain, Sister-in Law (Marlene) children Aaron (Melissa) grandchildren Cassie, Charlotte, Mary Robinson (Andy).
