Phenix City, AL- Mr. Roosevelt Threatts, 64, of 907 15th Street, Phenix City, AL passed Monday, July 14, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Mark CME Church with Rev. Winfred McCoy, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Motts Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Threatts was born September 8, 1949 in Smiths Station, AL to Sarah Eally and the late Rev. J.T. Threatts. He had been employed with Bibb Mill.
Survivors other than his mother include his stepmother, Annie Pearl Threatts; two sons, Roosevelt Dawkins and Gregery Dawkins; two daughters, Tomekia (Kevin) Perry and Angela Dawkins; his siblings, Lois Walton, Lula (Charles) Jones, Paticia (Kenneth) Barrett, Joe Willie (Renea) McCoy, Marvin (Pat) McCoy, Larry (Sandra) McCoy, Larry (Margaret) Threatts, Barbarann (Cliff) Franks, Ann (Eric) Lane, Gloria Gean Threatts, Joel Threatts, Jr., Wiston Threatts, Ken Threatts, Amy (Stan) Cotton, Edna (Alfred) Griffin, Sherryl Scruggs; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
