Phenix City, AL- Rev. Randy Warren Thorn, 48 of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am EDT Monday, August 25, 2014 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Cecil Scott officiating. Interment will follow Monday afternoon at Weeks Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Kinston, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.
Randy was born December 28, 1965 in Phenix City, AL to the late Herman H. Thorn and Willie Alice Moon Thorn. Randy enjoyed ministering the Gospel, church fellowship, singing, fishing, and visiting different restaurants.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Dion Schultz Thorn of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Pat Paul of Phenix City, AL and Rachel Mears of Columbus, GA, brothers, Leo Moon and wife Bertha of Phenix City, AL, Jerry Thorn and wife Glenda of Kinston, AL and Herschel Lee Thorn and wife Vickie of Valdosta, GA.
Father and mother-in-law, Tony and Debbie Schultz of Phenix City, AL; grandmother-in-law, Linda Davis, brother-in-law, Brad Schultz, sister-in-law, Wendy Schultz, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
