Phenix City, AL- Mrs. Mattie Louise "Sister Baby" Jones, 84, of Box 5 Winches Drive, Phenix City, AL passed Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Columbus Hospice.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Stephen K. Garrett, pastor, officiating and Rev. Wendell V. Jones, eulogist. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Jones was born February 27, 1930 in Phenix City, AL to the late Rev. E.D. Phillips and the late Eula Miller (Roland) Carson.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Jones, Sr. of Phenix City, AL; six sons, Robert Jones, Jr., Eddie (Gwendolyn) Jones, Donnell Jones and Jessie Jones all of Phenix City, AL; James Jones of Blakely, GA; Ronnie Jones of Columbus, GA; three daughters, Doris Jones Middlebrook of Atlanta, GA; Juanita (Ronald) Carr of Clarksville, TN; Martha Colbert of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Rosie Abram of Phenix City, AL and Deborah Tuggle of Kennesaw, GA; 36 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, several great- great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
