COLUMBUS, GEORGIA- Charles C. Reynolds, 90, passed away on June 11, 2013 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, Georgia. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Mr. Reynolds was born November 16, 1922 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Charlie F. Reynolds and Effie Dixon Reynolds. He served in the Philippines in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Reynolds was a master mechanic and carpenter. He was also an ordained minister of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia L. Beck and second wife, Ruby K. Barron; a son, David W. Reynolds; two sisters and a step-son, Johnny Montgomery.
Survivors include his five children, Charles R. Reynolds and his wife, Donna of Sylvester, GA, Robert L. Reynolds of LaGrange, GA, Dean O. Reynolds and his wife, Bridget of Phenix City, AL, James T. Reynolds and his wife, Beverly of Leesburg, GA and Diane Johnson and her husband, James of Woodbury, GA; two step-children, Diane Montgomery and Brenda Montgomery; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Albany, GA; three brothers, Clarence Reynolds, J.C. Reynolds, both of Columbus, GA and James Reynolds of Baconton, GA.
