Phenix City, AL - Debra Anna McKibbens, 49 of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
Debra was born January 18, 1964 in Fort Bragg, NC to A. J. McKibbens and Carola Ruth Schumacher McKibbens. She had worked for Waffle House and was a Christian by faith. Debra was a member of Women of Moose and enjoyed swimming, reading, crafts, and riding her Harley.
She is survived by her parents, A. J. McKibbens and Carol McKibbens of Cowpens, SC, (4) Children, Wanda Nicole Shaw Barefoot and husband, Chris of Phenix City, AL, Karen Elizabeth Shaw Zuanich and husband, August of Fort Mitchell, AL, Sandra Deanna Shaw Fowler and husband, Patrick of Spartanburg, SC and Steven A. J. Shaw of Smiths Station, AL; friend and companion, Carl Bowden of Phenix City, AL, one sister, Diana O'Donald and husband, Mike of Bremonton, WA, one brother, David McKibbens and wife, Valerie of Johnson City, TN; paternal grandparents of her children, James and Milbris Shaw of Phenix City, AL.
(13) Grandchildren, Kayla, McKenzie, Kiley, Kirsten, Alexis, Madison, Lillian, Leland, Jeremiah, August, William, Thomas and Keagan, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm EST Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Blue Branch Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC with Pastor Eddie Smith officiating, a private interment will follow at a later time in Felton, GA and the family will receive friends, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
