Seale, AL- Mrs. Leslie B. Sanks, 64, of 2 Caney Drive, Seale, AL passed Sunday, May 14, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Nathaniel Copeland, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Cemetery, Lato, AL. There will be no public visitation according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Sanks was born April 6, 1953 in Crawford, AL to the late McKinley Walton and the late Lillie Mobley Walton. She was a teacher with the Russell County School District and was a member of Uchee Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew Sanks of Seale, AL; three children, Cursandra Sanks, Anthony Sanks and Shameka Sanks-Dubois all of Seale, AL; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Walton family were like family to me. My prayers are for the family who are left behind. Sometimes we would like to keep our loved ones around no matter what, but,when they have no quality of life, and they are tired, we need to let them go. May God's blessings continue to fall fresh on you. I love you guys.
