RINDGE - Diane E. (Atkinson) Minihan, 53, of Rindge, and formerly of Arlington, Mass., died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, with her family by her side at her parent's home in Arlington after a courageous battle with cancer.
Diane was born on April 13, 1960, in Cambridge, Mass., daughter of George and Louise (Colozzi) Atkinson. She was a 1978 graduate of Arlington High School.
Throughout her career, Diane had worked primarily in administration at the Perini Corp in Massachusetts, Park Construction in Fitzwilliam and at Stenerson Excavation in Rindge. She was able to raise her family amongst her busy work schedule and eventually retired from Millipore in Jaffrey where she had been working in quality control after her illness and treatments made it difficult to work.
Diane will be remembered for always liking the simpler pleasures in life, finding comfort in the times spent on Plum Island, and taking great joy in being a loving grandmother to Brianna.
Diane is survived by her parents of Arlington, Mass.; her daughter Erin Minihan of Rindge; her two sons; Matthew and his wife, Julie Minihan, of Rindge and Adam Minihan of Keene; her granddaughter, Brianna, of Rindge; her three sisters; Donna Sullivan of Bourne, Mass., Anne O'Hanlon of Arlington, Mass., and Elizabeth MacInnes of Plymouth, Mass.; her former husband, John J. Minihan, of Rindge, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St., (Route 202) Jaffrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following calling hours at 1 p.m. in Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main St., Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Rindge at the convenience of the family.

Im so very sorry to hear this sad news. I just saw her recently with her Mom Louise and Diane looked tired from this battle she was fighting. I hope now she will find peace and comfort in Heaven. I am so glad that we all got to see each other at the reunion. I will always remember how fabulous she looked that night and so happy and filled with laughs and smiles. I will remember her fondly forever.
