REVERE, MASS. - Ruby F. (Bishop) Knowles died In Revere on May 29, 2016. Formerly of Peterborough, New Hampshire, Malden and Melrose Massachusetts, Bradenton, Florida, and Everett, Massachusetts, she was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. "Russ" Knowles. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Etta (McLaughlin) Bishop; loving mother of John and his wife, Ruth, of Hopkinton, Mass.; Nancy Gaspar and her husband, John, of Manchester, N.H.; Robert and his companion, Patricia Ells, of Everett; Linda Leicht and her husband, Raymond, of Levittown, Penn.; Larry and his wife, Nancy, of Saugus and his former wife, Catherine Knowles of Londonderry, N.H.; Mary Knowles and her companion, Steven Strecker, of Everett and the late Charles "Chuckie" Knowles; sister of the late Irene Crooker, Barbara Bishop, Arlene Walker and Lawrence "Larry" Bishop. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and another blessing on the way. A graveside celebration service of Ruby's life was held on Wednesday, June 1 at Needham Cemetery, 121 Parish Rd. Needham, MA at 11:00 a.m. Her grandson, Christopher J. Knowles, presided over the service. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Those relatives and friends were invited to share stories about Ruby, and share they did. There was great laughter and happy tears as tales of earlier days were shared with one another. After the celebration, everyone joined together for a luncheon at a local restaurant.
