FRANCESTOWN - Dorothy Philbrick, 76, of Francestown, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Oct. 18, 2013, following a long illness.
Dot was born to Edgar and Lenora Perkins of Alexander, Maine on April 10, 1937, she was the 13th of 14 children, and the last surviving sibling, she was predeceased by a son, Alfred; a grandson, Keegan; and a granddaughter, Leslie.
Dot is survived by her husband, Clayton Philbrick III of Francestown; her children
Beverly Perkins of Belgrade, Maine, Jodi Wells and her husband, Dennis of Francestown, Carol Barss and her husband, Jim of Weare and Clayton Philbrick IV
and his wife, Jo-Ann of Francestown; her grandchildren, Aaron Williams, Shyla Wells, Tammi Phillips, Monica Bunker, Karina Robinson-Hill and Hayley Philbrick; her great grandchildren, Jordan Phillips, Lee Phillips, Katrina Semas, Meshia Bunker, Kaylee Robinson, and James Robinson Burrows; As well as numerous nieces and nephews now living throughout the east coast, one of whom, Mary Hall Davis of Maryland, she considered her "Little Sister."
The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Dot during her illness, particularly Dr. Annika Brown, as well as the team from Hospice at HCS, especially Suzan Souza. Their honesty, respect and good humor helped Dot prepare for her final days with dignity and without fear. There is no greater gift that could be given to her, or us.
Arrangements have been made through Cremation Society of N.H. A memorial service will be held Nov. 2, 2013, time pending at the Cemetery #3.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Francestown Rescue.
