Frances L (Ayers) Stacy(1943 - 2013)

Frances L. (Ayers) Stacy, 69 of Winchendon, MA died February 23, 2013 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, FL surrounded by her loving companion and family.

She was born on June 25, 1943 in Brockton, MA the daughter of Howard F. Ayers and Helena B. (MacDougall) Ayers.

Frances lived most of her life in the Mondanock Region, raising her five children in Antrim, Francestown and Peterborough, NH. Later in life she lived in Jaffrey, NH, West Boylston, MA and settled in Winchendon, MA. She was active in her community and was a member of The Jaffrey - Rindge Lions Club, for which she won the Vice President Award.

After raising her five children, Frances focused on building a career. At the age of 32 she earned her high school diploma. She then continued on to Franklin Pierce College, while working two jobs, and earned her Associate in Arts in 1988, and then graduated cum laude with a Bachelors in Science in 1991. She was an accomplished woman and had a long successful career in banking. She retired in 2005 as a Vice President for TD Banknorth. Her hard work and determination was an inspiration to her children and those who knew her.

Frances enjoyed vacationing with her companion Thomas Hanrahan, which included many cruises, visits to Aruba, Hawaii and wintering in Naples, FL. She loved to cook; her friends and neighbors could count on her to share in her delicious meals. She was a generous woman always willing to help family and friends in need. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her much happiness. Her greatest joy and priority in life was her family.

Frances is survived by her children, William Stacy, III and his wife, Mary of Rindge, NH; Susan Stacy and her husband Paul Crosby of Alstead, NH; Michelle Jarest of Peterborough, NH; Carrie Lynn Nye and her husband David of Jaffrey, NH; James Stacy and his wife Lauren of Hancock, NH; a sister Priscilla Gladu of Deering, NH; a brother John Ayers; and her grandchildren Teresa Kimball, Zachary Maynard, Spencer Jarest, Morgan Stacy, Rebecca Stacy, Samuel Stacy, and Hannah Nye.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Robert Ayers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Congregational Church in Hancock, NH on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11am.

A private burial with family will be held in the summer.
