Michael Edwin Seppala, 61 years old, was born May 16, 1951 in Winchendon, MA to Edwin and Mary Ann (Haapaoja) Seppala. He lived a modest, faithful life in Rindge, NH. He passed quietly away in his home after a courageous battle with brain cancer, on April 8, 2013.
Michael was always a quiet person, a gentle, no fuss kind of guy who wouldn't even make a ripple in someone else's pond. He was a big brother and took that role very seriously.
He started work as a welder for Vanguard Scaffolding. After graduating from Conant High School in 1970, he began working for Monadnock Fabricators (which later became FAMM Steel ) as a head detailer . In January 2000 Mike, as well as other detailers, started Monadnock Detailing Association where he worked until he became ill.
Mike was a Ford fan through and through, a Republican, a patriotic American, always reliable, always giving without expecting anything in return. He enjoyed his computer and all the latest technology. He could fix anything he set his mind to. His hobby was helping other people.
He loved his wife and 13 children and was so proud of his 48 precious grandchildren. He loved Jesus above all things, and was a devoted member, and board member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Ralph Seppala in 1962, Philip Seppala in 1969, Jimmy Seppala on March 9, 2013, and his in-laws: Carl Kulla in January 2013 and Martha Kulla in March 2013.
Mike leaves behind his wife Kathleen (Kulla) Seppala of 42 years, his 8 sons: Juha with wife Kate and 13 children of New Ipswich, NH; Leander of Battle Ground, WA; Mike with wife Melissa and 5 children of Baker City, OR; Ethan with wife Courtney and 5 children of Fitzwilliam, NH; Jack of Rindge, NH; Abe with wife Heidi and 1 child of Rindge, NH; Isaac of Rindge, NH; Jacob of Rindge, NH; his 5 daughters: Lena with husband Randy Matson and 6 children of Yacolt, WA; Aili with husband Jeff Karlsen and 10 children of Rindge, NH; Anya with husband Chad West and 5 children of Pasco, WA; Sylvia with husband Darren Korpi and 3 children of Campobello, SC; Lila Seppala and fiancée Gavin Anderson of Rindge, NH; His parents Edwin and Mary Ann Seppala of Lantana, FL; his brothers: Paul with wife Sharon of Rindge NH; Calvin with wife Brenda of Rindge, NH; Peter with wife Mary of Rindge ,NH; Tim with wife Pam of Battle Ground, WA; His sister in law Peggy Seppala of Rindge, NH; his sisters: Ann with husband Jack Matson of Yacolt, WA; Susie with husband Lyle Stenersen of Rindge, NH; Darlene with husband Jon West of Rindge, NH; Carla with husband Chet Olin of La Center, WA; Jennie with husband Adam Aho of Rindge, NH; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
