ANTRIM - Stella Mary Luster, 95, of Antrim, died at her home, on June 11, 2014 after a period of failing health. She was born in Peterborough on Mar. 4, 1919, the daughter of Geo H. Gilman and Rosanna (LaBier) Gilman.
Stella grew up in Peterborough then moved to Hancock, where she lived for 17 years before moving to Antrim. She was a housekeeper for Eleanor Briggs for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Patrick's Church in Bennington, and was very active in the church. Stella loved being outdoors and gardening.
Stella is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son John J. Luster and her siblings Laurence Gilman, Joseph Gilman, Louisa Proulx and Rita Gilman.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Divine Mercy Parish, 18 Vine Street, Peterborough. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Old Stage Coach Road, Bennington. Monsignor Gerald Belanger will officiate.
