JAFFREY - George M. Tabor, 67, of Winchester and formerly of Jaffrey, died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

George was born on Sept. 8, 1946, in Peterborough, son of the late Walter and Yvonne (Michaud) Tabor. George attended Conant High School. After graduating in 1964 he went on to join the U.S. Navy and served our country honorably. He was a member of the John Humiston Post 11 of the American Legion and the Jaffrey Memorial VFW Post #5613.
George worked as an electrician for many years at Maki Electric. He loved the company of his close family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and bocce. George was a huge fan of Pink Floyd.
George is survived by his former wife and friend, Rose "Dolly" Nicolosi-Tabor; his two children, Michael G. Tabor and his wife, Erin, of Jaffrey, and Angela R. Caron and her husband, Daniel, of Winchester; his two brothers, Frank Tabor and his wife, Rita, of Santa Fe, N.M., and Rev. John Tabor of Thailand; his two sisters, Yvonne Murray and her husband, Roger of Dublin, and Theresa Weigel and her husband, John, of Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Route 202) Jaffrey.
A Celebration of George's life will be held at the Jaffrey VFW Hall on Hathorn Road in Jaffrey on Monday beginning at 3 p.m.
