HANCOCK - Anna McKellar Hecht passed away peacefully in the loving company of her family Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Anna had sustained severe injuries following an automobile accident on Tuesday December 4th

Anna was born April 22, 1982, at Monadnock Hospital and grew up in Hancock. She attended ConVal High School and the High Mowing School. Anna worked at the Granite Bank and for event promotion companies in Manchester, NH before traveling the country and spending time living in Oregon and California.
Anna loved animals, hiking, camping, and the natural world. She was a generous, kind, and loyal friend with a great sense of humor who touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Anna is survived and lovingly remembered by her parents, Janet and Bernie Hecht, and her brother, Robert; her grandparents, Elaine and George Hecht, and Ursula and John Willis; her uncle, Michael Hecht; and her aunt and uncle, Amy Magnarelli and Douglas Oxley.
No public service is planned and the family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation could be made in Annie's name to the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.nhspca.org.
