Donald A. Perry, 77, of Jaffrey NH, died Thursday May 30, 2013 at the University of Massachusetts Trauma Center in Worcester after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Rindge.
Don was born on July 22, 1935 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He grew up in Littleton MA and was a 1956 graduate of Littleton High School. He lived throughout New England before settling in Jaffrey in 1980.
Don owned and operated his own excavation and construction companies. He was an avid aviator who owned and flew a number of unique airplanes during his lifetime. He was a wonderful dancer and other interests included skiing, canoeing, and restoration of airplanes, antique furniture, old tools and equipment.
Don is survived by his longtime companion and former wife, Jane P. Sawyer and her daughter Vanessa. Also by three sons - Mark, Kent, and Todd, their mother, Nancy Odams, six grandchildren, his extended family, and many close friends.
Friends and family are warmly invited to a memorial celebration of Don's life on Sunday, July 7th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Jaffrey Airport Silver Ranch, 190 Turnpike Road (Rte. 124 east) in Jaffrey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to the "Jaffrey Airport Aeronautical Fund" for airport preservation and improvements. (c/o Airport Manger, 190 Turnpike Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452).

Gave him many flight lessons, flew with him and spent hours over a cup of coffee "solving world problems ". He was a friend.
