Donna Marie Kane Brunet, 56, passed on August 10, 2013, after an honorable fight against cancer. Donna was blessed to spend her last days at home in New Ipswich, NH surrounded by many who love her.

Born in Lowell, MA on December 12, 1956, to John and Doreen (Mahoney) Kane, Donna was raised in Dracut, MA. In her youth she enjoyed horse-back riding and excelled at basketball. After graduating from Dracut High School in 1974, she attended Essex Agricultural in Hawthorne, MA where she not only received a degree in Animal Science but also met her husband-to-be. In October of 1979, at Saint Micheals in Lowell, MA, Donna married Richard Phillip Brunet of Somerville, MA. The first of two children, Matthew Richard, was born in 1980, followed by, Meghan Kane, in 1981. Donna thrived in various professions, attaining several leadership and management positions. Experiences like Outward Bound and living in Alaska for three years fed Donna's adventurous side.

Donna was a loving mother, devoted sister and aunt, and a loyal friend. She will be missed by many including her son, Matthew Brunet, and daughter, Meghan Brunet. As well as her siblings Kathy Avila and husband Donald, John Kane and wife Anita, James Kane, Dennis Kane and wife Carol, and Julie Bikos and husband Daniel. Donna will also be missed by her nieces and nephews and her loving church family at New Ipswich Congregational Church.

A memorial service will be held for Donna at 1PM on Tuesday August 20, 2013 at the New Ipswich Congregational Church.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Donna's name to the New Ipswich Congregational Church of 156 Main St, New Ipswich, NH.
