Jeanne (Litchfield Caskie) Thompson (1928 - 2012)

The Guest Book is expired.

Powerful wind turbulence and an uneasy night signaled the passing of Jeanne Litchfield Caskie Thompson during the evening of December 5, 2012. Jeanne, a long time resident of Francestown, had her family members at her side at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, New Hampshire.
Jeanne was born to Dorothy Kenniston and John Rippey Litchfield on the Fourth of July, 1928. She had three younger siblings, Joyce, who died in childhood, a sister, Dorna Allen, and brother John Litchfield. She was a graduate of Newton High School and Bostons Vesper George School of Art. In 1951 she married Robert Farrell Caskie, Jr. They lived for a few years in Belmont, Massachusetts before building a home on Poor Farm Road in Francestown where they became active members of the community. They divorced in 1969.
In 1970 Jeanne married a close childhood friend, David Bruce Timmy Thompson and moved to California. They kept a summer home on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire and later wintered in Florida. Jeanne never lost her love of graphic and textile arts and used her gifts to delight her community and family. Timmy predeceased her in 2007.
In addition to her surviving siblings, she leaves behind four children, Dorna Caskie of Groveland, Mass, Sandra Caskie Safran of Washington, D.C., Robert Caskie of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bruce Caskie of Arcadia, California, two stepchildren, Susannah Thompson Scherzer and Richard Thompson, and eleven grandchildren.
The Family will hold a celebration of her life at 1 pm on July 27, 2013, at 144 Whittemore Point Road North, Bridgewater, New Hampshire.
