Nancy Kipperman Obituary
Nancy was born in Quincy, MA to the late William and Ruth (Schenck) Stewart on September 2, 1938.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Dick Kipperman, and their three children, Bruce Kipperman (Alice) of Portsmouth, NH, Jeffrey Kipperman (Linda) of Bow, NH and Amy Lanza (Chris) of Rindge. Nancy treasured and will be missed by her six grandchildren Kelley, Ian (Gabriela), Lindsay, Eric, Nicholas and Meghan. In addition, Nancy will be missed by her sister Jean Corbett (Paul) of Fairfield Glade, TN.
Nancy had no greater joy in life than her family. She will be fondly remembered as a talented artist, an amazing puzzle solver, a golfer and a bridge partner. In her retirement, Nancy (similar to her mother Ruth and sister Jean) took up watercolor painting and was amazed at the talent she possessed. She was very involved in several painting clubs and guilds and let her artistry evolve into many different mediums; even selling greeting cards, paintings and jewelry in local shops. Her home, and her children's homes and workplaces, are like galleries of her masterpieces. As a puzzle solver, Nancy always had some kind of puzzle or crossword in her hand or in progress and was always happy to help a fellow puzzler with suggestions and hints.
In her professional life, before retirement, Nancy was an educator (both teaching and administration), a mentor, a journalist and a director of plays among other things. It was clearly apparent that Nancy's calling was connecting with people; namely her students and fellow teachers, and making a a positive impact in their lives. At Nancy's retirement party from her Vice Principalship at Conant High School in Jaffrey, the number of former students who provided stories (both funny and heartbreaking) was astounding. Whether it was advice after school about a personal issue or staying late to help tutor a student in one of her classes, Nancy was never afraid or hesitant to go that extra mile.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage donation to Hospice of Cumberland County, 30 East Adams Street, Crossville, TN 38555.
