RINDGE - Paul R. Seppala, 56, of Rindge, passed away on Oct. 4, 2013, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
The Guest Book is expired.
Paul was born on Sept. 21, 1957, in Winchendon, Mass., and is the son of Edwin and Mary Ann (Haapaoja) Seppala.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Rindge and had attended Rindge Memorial School and Conant High School. He was not a veteran, but was considered a true patriot. Paul worked with his brothers as the Project Manager and Estimator-in-Chief for Ji-Cal Masonry, Inc. for the past 13 years. He was a lifelong member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in New Ipswich where he served as a pastor, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent for many years.
Paul was a loving, funny, cheerful, always smiling, amazing man. His faith was strong and his love and light for Christ was always showing. His favorite pastimes were being with family, friends and visiting with brothers and sisters in Christ. He always went out of his way to make everyone feel loved and made sure everyone knew that Jesus loves even them.
In addition to his parents of Lantana, Fla., he is survived by his loving and caring wife of 35 years, Sharon (Sikkila) Seppala, of Rindge; his children, Tommy (Jana) Seppala of Battle Ground, Wash.; Andy (Jessica) Seppala of Metamora, Ohio; Ronnie (Tandy) Seppala of Managua, Nicaragua; Kenny (Ashley) Seppala of Beaufort, S.C.; Jeff (Hnou) Seppala of Rindge; Denny (Shara) Seppala of Battle Ground, Wash.; Stevie (Kayla) Seppala of Rindge; Scott (Illa) Seppala of Jaffrey; Rusty Seppala of Rindge; Roger Seppala of Rindge; and as Paul would say, "the roses amongst the thorns" his daughters, Christie and Melissa Seppala, both of Rindge, and 22 grandchildren whom he adored. Paul is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Ann (Jack) Matson of Yacolt, Wash.; Susan (Lyle) Stenersen of Rindge; Darlene (Jon) West of Rindge; Calvin (Brenda) Seppala of Rindge; Peter (MaryLynn) Seppala of Rindge; Tim (Pam) Seppala of Battle Ground, Wash.; Carla (Chet) Olin of La Center, Wash.; Jennie (Adam) Aho of Rindge; sister-in-laws, Peggy Seppala and Kathy Seppala, both of Rindge; his mother-in-law Eleanor Sikkila of Covington, Mich.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was predeceased by four of his brothers, Ralph Seppala in 1962, Philip Seppala in 1969, James Seppala on March 9, 2013, and Michael Seppala on April 8, 2013.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071.
