PETERBOROUGH - Sheena Leigh Burgess, 27, of Peterborough, died on June 28, 2014. She was born in Peterborough on Aug. 27, 1986. Her parents are John and Tammy (Burgess) Grenier of Peterborough.

Sheena lived in Temple until she was 14, when her parents moved to Peterborough. She graduated from ConVal High School in 2004. While at ConVal she was a member of the Interact Club and the Spanish Club. She studied Business Management while at college and received a Bachelor of Science degree, on the Dean's List, from Keene State College in 2009.

Sheena had the gift of creativity from an early age. She loved to dance and was a member of both the NHDI and the MPAA dance teams. Whether it was scrapbooking, arts and crafts, her amazing drawings, or even her creativity with cooking and preparing food, her finished work was always meticulous and remarkable. She loved listening to all types of music and enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing pool.

Sheena's sweet and gentle nature was evident in her ability to easily interact with children. While working at Whispering Willows Child Care Center, she taught the kids Spanish and her loving and creative nature was enjoyed by them. She loved animals and they, in return, had a natural ease with her.

Above all, Sheena loved her family. She looked forward to family cookouts and gatherings where she loved playing games and visiting. While Sheena was passionate about everything she did and her heart was immense, the love of her life was her son Liam.

In addition to her parents, Sheena is survived by her son, Liam and her brother, Brendan Grenier, both of Peterborough. She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Patricia and Donald Condon of Wilton and her paternal grandmother, Theresa Grenier of Manchester, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her family, Sheena was blessed with many special family friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her grandfather Stephen Burgess.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Pines, 10 Hale Hill Road, Rindge. Pastor Beth Boisvert will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sheena's memory to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, N.H. 03446.
