Roy I. Longever, 84, of Fitzwilliam, NH died peacefully December 11, 2012 at his home with his family nearby.

Born in Roxbury, September 23, 1928. Mr Longever was a WW II veteran and served in the Army Air Corps as a flight engineer.
He was a former Fitzwilliam selectman, town treasurer, tax collector and chief of police and member of the Fitzwilliam Fire Department.
He also operated his own accounting office for 25 years.
Mr. Longever enjoyed oil painting and other crafts. He enjoyed his family, traveling, and camping. He also loved to sing country music with his guitar and harmonica.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, G. Ruth Longever (Raitto) of Fitzwilliam; his three children: Dana R. Longever and his wife, Karen of Keene, Debra R. Lapinsky of Keene, and Dayle I. Nelson and her husband, Douglas of E. Swanzey; five grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Jeremy, Jason and Ryan and three great granddaughters; a sister Ann Page of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Longever's memory to Hospice at HCS, 312 Marlborough St, Keene, NH 03431.
No services will be held.
