Margaret "Peg" Mabee Memmelaar, 75 went peacefully to be with the Lord at Hillsboro House, Hillsboro NH having had Lewy Body Dementia. Peg was born in Goshen, NY, the daughter of the late Jesse Mosteller Mabee and Irene (McNeiece) Mabee. Graduated from Washingtonville HS in 1955 and received her BS in Home Economics in 1959 from Plattsburg State Teachers College, where she was Senior Class President.

Peg taught for 35 years in the Washingtonville School District including Home Ec. at Goshen HS and primary grade Elementary teacher. Peg was very involved at Blooming Grove United Church of Christ, teaching Sunday school, serving on committees and as church historian and at their Country Store for many years after she retired in 1995.
Peg and her late husband Dale E. Memmelaar were married July 1, 1961 for 48 years before she moved to New Hampshire to be cared for by her daughter Gretchen. Peg was known as kind, friendly, helpful, hardworking, accepting, sweet fun-loving and for making the best of any situation. She loved gardening, flower arranging, her animals, cooking, camping and her family.
Peg is survived by her son Dale F. Memmelaar of Norcross, GA, his wife Carla and two children Joseph and Ashleigh, her daughter Gretchen Stockwell of Hancock, NH, her husband Steve and their son Andrew, her sister, Patricia Mabee Fazio of Cody Wyoming, plus many wonderful brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Antrim Baptist Church, Antrim NH on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2:00. An additional Memorial Service will be held at Blooming Grove Congregational Church, Blooming Grove, NY on Saturday July 13, 2013 at 2 pm with a burial at the Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen NY and then a reception at a family home in Chester, NY.
