CECIL STRINGER Obituary

Mr. Cecil Stringer of Hornbeck passed away on Friday afternoon Feb. 12, having no regrets whatsoever for his incredibly fruitful 91 years on earth. Mr. Stringer was born October 15, 1918 in Rattan and resided in and around Hornbeck his entire life.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Stringer served his country as a member of Battery D, 379th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion Mobile
Left behind to cherish his memory and legacy are his son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Brenda Stringer of Woodville, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Tommie and Lynn Stringer of Oaklyn, N.J., son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Jamie Stringer of Hornbeck; grandchildren Keith, Kena, Sarah, Daniel, Chase, Treasure and Gauge Stringer; and great-grandchildren Kirsten and Kaylyn Stringer; brother-in-law Charles Burlison and wife Faye of Shreveport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He now joyfully joins his beloved wife and best friend of 58 years, Lorena Stringer where they will rest in peace forever with our heavenly Father.
The family asks one and all to join them in celebrating the life of the most amazing man they have ever known and to pay their respects from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 14 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday February 15 at the First Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday February 15 followed by interment at Self Cemetery in Hornbeck.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Stringer would appreciate any donations be sent to Toro Masonic Lodge, PO Box 87, Hornbeck, LA 71439.
