Not sure what to say?

Hello friends and family of Gordon Misner. I came across this memorial statue from Gordon's passing at a sale in Divide Colorado today. Can someone from the family please contact me so I can arrange it's return to a family member? My name is Mike Mallernee and my email is [email protected] I will accept no compensation and will ship at my expense. This needs to be returned to his family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We think of you often, Gordo.
Until we meet again....

Gordon Misner, today you were remembered in a small joint American Legion/VFW Memorial Day service in Oscoda, MI. While I didn't know you and you certainly didn't know me I was stationed at Balad AB, Iraq in 2006 when I participated in a Patriot Duty where I slow had saluted you as your flag draped coffin was loaded onto an airplane ready to transport you back to your family in the United States. I saw you as a hero then and I still see you as a hero today 15 years later. May our country...

It’s been so many years since that fateful day. I have been in pain but in silent since this day. I remember like it was yesterday. I go over what happened everyday I have lived. I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish there was something I could do to help with these haunting memories I love with every day. I miss you Gordon. I pray you are resting and living it up in Valhalla like we used to talk about. I love you brother. ‘Til Valhalla. See you soon bro.

It was an honor to serve under you. You Where my Team Leader. You kept me moving. Kept me safe. You and Ssg Howard saved my life the day you lost yours. I dont know why you guy sent me back to my room, but Im alive because of it. Your memory burns in my head. Reading about your wonderful children and all who love you brings me to tears. This only gets harder every year. You where a great friend. A wonderful mentor. A skilled D and D player. And a wonderful husband. Thank you for your sacrifice.

SGT Misner was a great man ill never forget that day so long as I live. The worst feeling in the world. We love and miss you brother. Until we meet again

To the Misner Family;
I happened to find this awesome tribute to Gordon. I send my best to your family. His father was married to me, back in 1987. I do remember him and his sister, Christine he was five, she two. We made a visit to them in Petaluma,CA at that time. My daughter Rochelle Misner knew both also. Rochelle took Gordon's last name in 1988. I have pictures of all three in our pool.
My best,

Gordon,
I miss you buddy, every year that I am able to take leave to get back to the rodeo I look for your name on Patriot night and now my head in respect to you.

Dear Dad,
I never really knew you. You died when I was one. I am now 14 and finally realize how important your role was in this world. You died a hero. You save multiple lives by giving yours. You left behind two daughters who will live up to your name. We will give the Misner name justice. I know that your looking down on us and protecting us. Thank you. You gave me my strength and determination. I want to help people the same way you did. I want to risk my life. For the longest...
