Katherine Brackett Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Pierce and Macy Luckadoo. She was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired bank teller.
She is survived by her daugther, Candy Honeycutt of Sunshine; a son, Don Brackett of Sunshine; a sister, Sara Harrill of Bostic; three brothers, Richard Luckadoo and Howard Luckadoo, both of Forest City, and Phil Luckadoo of Rutherfordton; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. Cindy K. Lunsford will officiate. Urn burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A Visitation will be held in the Family Life Center of the church, immediately following the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC or Cedar Grove UMC Cemetery Fund, 406 Toney Road, Bostic, NC 28018.
Washburn & Dorsey is in charge of arrangements.

I just heard about Katherine passing today. I am soooo sorry! Katherine was one fine lady! I loved her! I used to work with her at Aeroquip, many yrs ago. She was a wonderful person! Heaven has gained an Angel! You all will be in my prayers! My deepest sympathy.

Dear Family,
I was very sad to hear of Kat's passing. She was a very special lady and I did so enjoy emailing with her. She also told me stories I loved to hear about the Lookadoo family. I will always keep her sweet smile and the good memories tucked away to cherish. She is an angel now and I am sure she will keep a watchful eye on us all.

To Howard and Sarah and all of her family. I am saddend to learn of Katherine's passing. I remember her as the fine little neighbor girl when I was still home at Sunshine. I will miss her and our email exchanges for the past several years. I send condolence.

Candy & Don, I am so sad to hear about Aunt Katherine's passing. I always loved going to Sunshine to visit her. She was always upbeat and had a positive attitude even during trying circumstances.
