Darlene M. Frey, 87, of Anderson, passed away December 18, 2010 at Community Hospital.|
She was born May 4, 1923 in Jackson, MN, the daughter of William and Grace (Cline) Kuhlman. She attended Life Bible College in Los Angeles and pastored the Foursquare Gospel Church in Indianapolis from 1950 – 1952 and Foursquare Gospel Church in Sedalia, OH from 1952 – 1953. She was a self employed Reflexologist in Anderson since 1960 and was a member of Wesley Free Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by four children, Harold (wife, Bertha) Schild of Vidor, TX, Darlene “Cookie” (husband, Charles) Haines of Port Charlotte, FL, Doris (husband, Robert) Mason of Anderson and Richard (wife, Annette) Frey of Silsbee, TX; adopted daughter, Cheryl Frey of Grants Pass, OR; step daughter, Donna (husband, Leo) Muchorski of Rochester, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Peggy (husband, Gary) Bronnenberg and Deloris (husband, Bill) Zeiss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Schild in 1950; second husband, Clark Frey in 1981; and step son, William Frey.
A service for immediate family will be at 1 p.m. today at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Mark Murphy officiating.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3017 West 8th Street, Anderson.
