Russell D. Fox Obituary
HUDSON - Russell D. Fox, 89, formerly of Hudson, MI, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He was born July 18, 1927, in Wright Twp., Mich., the son of the late Jesse and Gertrude (Young) Fox. He married Donna O. Hammond on Oct. 26, 1952, at the First Baptist Church in Hudson, and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2003.

Russell grew up and earned his high school education in West Unity, Ohio. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army Air Corps. He worked in tool and die for over 25 years at the former Fayette Tubular Products in Fayette, Ohio and retired from Spielman's in Hudson in 2003.

Surviving are his two daughters, Jean (David) Mills of Osseo, and Susan (Randy) Holt of Adrian; his five grandchildren, Angela Mills and Jennifer (Jamie) Brown all of Zionsville, Ind., Steve Halchishak of Benton Harbor, MI, Tania (Robbie) O'Connell of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Megan McFarland of Adrian, Mich; his six great-grandchildren, William, Maggie, Evan, Calista Oakley, Aric and Ainsley; and his sister-in-law, Monica (William) Williams of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

In addition to his parents and wife, Russell was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fox.

A funeral service for Russell will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev. Alan Fenstermaker officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson with full military honors performed by the Hudson American Legion Hannan Colvin Post #180. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
