Every Sunday I attend 7:30 AM Mass at Incarnation n Centerville, Ohio and this past Sunday I found a Funeral Mass Brochure in the pew. As I read it I thought of all the important people in my life and those of my friends past and present. On the back cover was "An Indian Prayer" that made me smile.
Do not stand at my grave
and weep
I am not there;
I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning
hush;
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and
weep
I am not there
I do not sleep.
AN INDIAN PRAYER
To all my (FB) friends, family members, and families who have lost someone special in their lives may God's peace and comfort give you strength to live each new day.

Please accept my condolences to the Evers family. Fred was a good friend of my father Elmer Beckman. I have many fond memories of Fred, my dad and myself fishing on Lake Erie for perch and walleye in the fall.
